August 8, 2018
10 am – 1 pm
USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work
850 W. Washington Blvd., Fl. 1, Los Angeles, CA 90015-3359

The iSATed research team — based in the University of Southern California’s Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work in Los Angeles — focuses on research with positive social consequences, ending treatment disparities for vulnerable populations in the substance abuse treatment system. The multidisciplinary research group investigates the intersection of policy implementation and its impact on service delivery and its studies focus on evaluating the delivery of evidence-based practices as well as how to improve quality of care for Latinos and African-Americans. Supported by the National Institute on Drug Abuse in a multi-year project that seeks to detect, understand and reduce Latino health care disparities, the iSATed team operates directly in the community, building long-term partnerships with health care providers and gaining direct insight into how to eliminate treatment barriers.
