Postpartum Depression Resources
Postpartum depression is considered a form of major depression and around 20% of mothers will experience PPD after childbirth. According to Mayo Clinic, women who leave PPD untreated often experience symptoms much longer, and in some cases, it may even become a chronic depressive disorder. This type of depression also has a ripple effect and can cause fathers to experience depression and children to experience emotional and behavioral issues as well.
